Muhammad Yunus, economist from Bangladesh became world-famous as banker of the poor. He is highly venerated for his idea of the microcredits, which means granting small credits to people too poor to be accepted by traditional banks. This concept was awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006. Muhammad Yunus told TV-journalist Cherno Jobatey the story how he has been able to free so many from pawnbrokers.
