TV-Host Cherno Jobatey beyond the small screen

When growing up in divided Berlin, it is music that brings Cherno Jobatey on stage for the first time. And this (mean rockin) virus has never got cured. So … five to eight times a year he picks up his “axe”, his guitar, and plays with his Band “Groove Gangster GmbH” in Clubs and bigger venues. As a speaker, host, MC, and moderator Cherno is working the “Event Circuit” in German as well as in English. One engagement even brings him to the entertainment capital of the world Las Vegas, thus truly making a dream come true: MCing an evening at the Palms Hotel.
Little Cherno was born with dyslexia, spent quite some time in his youth fighting it. But this very fight leads to the wonderful discovery that he loves to write. So, all the time, he sticks to the paper, and writes. He is still contributing articles to: German Business week, Cosmopolitan, Die Welt, AZ Munich, Die Zeit and others. When his slimming down (a  weight loss of 43 kilos) creates a public stir in Germany he even writes a book "Fit As a Fiddle" sharing his secrets. Being fit has been a life changing experience and Cherno has become a passionate runner, averaging  40 kms every week, no matter where his job life is leading him
But despite all the fame and limelight, Cherno has never forgotten his roots. “I have been blessed and very lucky, I always met nice people who cared and gave good advice”,  And the News-man continues: “ There is not such a thing as a dumb guy, mostly its just people who never got the attention they deserve.” That’s why Cherno Jobatey is constantly engaged in Charity events, Community service, and various organisations..
Cherno Jobatey looks a little different: No sneakers, shorter hair. But his smile is still the same, only fitter.
